Belief

Galatians 3:6-7
Thus Abraham believed in and adhered to and trusted in and relied on God, and it was reckoned and placed to his account and credited as righteousness (as conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action).
Abraham’s faith in God was counted as righteousness.
He believed in, adhered to, trusted in, and relied on God.
Jesus continually told His disciples and others to believe in Him, have faith in Him, and trust in Him, and they would be saved.
Our belief in Jesus guarantees where we will spend eternity.
In both the days of Moses and the days of Christ, belief secured righteousness and everlasting life with the Most High God.
And it is still true today.
I’m thankful we aren’t saved by our good deeds or works because I would fail every single day.
We are saved by grace.
God’s grace.
The grace that sent His Son to this earth, and the grace that strengthened Jesus to carry the cross He would die on.
There is nothing more for us to do except believe.
Believe in the One Who was the final sacrifice for our sins.
So why are there days we are riddled with unbelief?
Usually, it’s when trials come our way and we become afraid.
This fallen world is difficult to navigate, but God is present even in our most difficult moments.
There is never a moment He is not with us or a moment He does not already know the ending to.
He told Abraham His people would be in captivity for 400 years before there was even one Israelite.
He knows about our todays, and He knows about all our tomorrows.
Let us rest in Him and believe in Him even when our circumstances look bleak.
Today I choose to believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and leave my burdens at His feet.
May you find your belief in Jesus overshadows the difficulties you face knowing He is taking care of you.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for making a way for us to be saved and spend eternity with You. Thank You for making a way that isn’t contingent on what we do. You simply ask us to believe. Help our unbelief, Lord. Help us trust You with our biggest challenges. Help us lay our burdens, anxiety, and doubt at Your feet. And then help us receive Your love, assurance, and comfort. May we know that You are taking care of all the details in our lives. We praise You for all You are and all You do, Almighty God and Father. Keep our eyes on You instead of our circumstances today. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM with you and am working on all the details in your life. Depend on Me.
Response: Help us lean into You, Almighty God and Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.
