Faint Not

Galatians 6:9
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Paul tells us to not lose heart.
He tells us to “not grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right.”
We need his words today because the chaos of the world certainly takes a toll on us.
The constant frenzy around us disrupts our peace and, quite possibly, thwarts our intentions.
A simple example starts early in the morning as we wake up and make plans to serve our families a lovely breakfast with a Christ-like attitude.
Then something as simple as the egg yolks break in the pan, and our Christ-like attitude starts to derail.
The minor frustrations continue to add up until we no longer feel Christ-like by the time the family sits down.
We serve a less-than-perfect breakfast and drink a pot of coffee to drown our frustration and attempt to begin the day again.
So, yes, we need Paul’s encouragement to not get tired of doing the right thing.
He writes the is harvest coming.
The harvest, the fruit of our efforts and labor, will eventually come if we stay strong and courageous.
I don’t know about you, but I need to put on courage every single day.
The Word tells us God’s grace is new every morning, which we desperately need.
I think we also need a fresh batch of courage every day.
We must not lose heart.
We must not grow weary in well-doing.
Instead, rejoice.
Rejoice when it is hard.
Rejoice even when we are weary because rejoicing brings us into the Lord’s presence where He can restore our strength.
Rejoicing lifts our spirit and gives us the courage we need to live Christ-like in an unchristian world.
Today I choose to put on courage and rejoice in the Lord for He is my strength.
May you find the Lord blesses your service to Him, and He will strengthen you to continue to serve Him and not grow weary in your well-doing.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for Your strength when we feel weary. Thank You for blessing the work of our hands even when we feel devoid of fulfillment. Help us do all You ask us to do and rejoice in You while doing it. Keep our minds and hearts from grumbling and complaining, Lord. Put words of praise in our hearts and mouths instead. You are great and greatly to be praised! You and everything You do is to be praised! You are Almighty! Your power is magnificent, and Your grace is unending. Grant us courage to keep going even when we feel discouraged. Keep our eyes on You today, Lord. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: Be strong and courageous for I AM with you.
Response: Thank You, Almighty God and Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.
