Daily Word:
Psalm 121:2-3
“My help comes from the Lord Who made heaven and earth.”
“He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved. He Who keeps you will not slumber.”
As I read these verses today a great peace came over me.
Our verse tells us that God is our Help.
As overwhelm tries to settle in my spirit, I am thankful that the Creator of this universe is my Help.
There is nothing He cannot do.
The great Almighty God is helping me!
And I praise Him!
I truly am grateful that somehow, He has designed this universe so that I may call upon Him as my Help.
Secondly, our verse also tells us that He will not let us slip.
As these days call for new ways of doing things and new ways of relating to others, I am thankful that the Lord will keep me on solid ground.
He will keep me from slipping.
He is my Keeper.
Lastly, when I read that God does not slumber, a great relief came over me.
Relief that the Lord watches over me every moment of every day.
While I am awake and while I sleep, He is continually watching over me and working on my behalf.
I don’t logically understand how any being does not sleep, but I am grateful that God is so much bigger than me and has a way.
As a parent, I remember spending nights awake listening to my children breathe when they were sick.
I would be in a heightened state keeping watch over them.
And I suppose that very similarly, the Lord watches over me.
Peace, comfort, confidence in the Lord are mine today as I read and believe God’s Word.
Today I choose to believe that the God of this universe is my Helper and will not let me slip or be moved.
May you find that the Lord is your Helper and will keep you and care for you every moment of every day.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for watching over me and taking care of me continually, without missing a moment of the day. Thank You for Your protection. Thank You for Your provision. Thank You for teaching me and ministering to my spirit. May You cover me in peace today. May You strengthen every fiber of my being as I move toward Your will for my life. Your Word says that You will keep me from slipping. I believe in You, Father, and I believe in Your Word. May it be so. May I worship at Your feet. I praise You, Lord. I praise Your Name! You are greatly to be praised. You have made me for Your purpose. May Your will be done. Bend my will to Yours. May Your desires be my desires, Father. Keep my eyes on You today. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM with you, My child, and will keep you from slipping.
