How Long Do I Believe?

Genesis 18:13-14
“And the Lord asked Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I really bear a child when I am so old?”
“Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son.”
God told Abraham Sarah would have a son.
We know both were too old to bear children, but impossibility is God’s playhouse.
It’s where He can show Himself as the miraculous God He is.
Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born.
When the Lord told Abraham of this wonderful gift, Sarah laughed.
I suppose the Lord could have held back His blessing.
But He didn’t.
He asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh?”
And then, said, “Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord?”
We know there is nothing too hard or wonderful for Him.
But when we look at our own circumstances, we may think God can’t do anything with them.
This scripture encouraged me today as I realize, once again, nothing is too difficult for the Lord.
We are not too difficult for Him.
Our circumstances are not too difficult for Him.
He can do all things.
We can believe in His promises and believe in His ability to make all things come to pass for us, His children.
We need stay in a space of believing for as long as it takes for God to move in His perfect timing.
Today I choose to believe the God of all ages is bigger than my problems and my circumstances and I look forward to watching Him work in my life.
May you find the Lord is bigger than your problems and your circumstances and He is working everything out perfectly for your good and His glory.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for showing me, once again, there is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You. Thank You for showing me You have a perfect plan for me and all Your children. You are true to Your Word and Your promises. Your Word spoke this world into existence and created each one of us. Help us all turn to You in our time of need. Help us know You lead us into victory. Your plan is for Your glory and may not look like what we ask for, but You answer our prayers perfectly. Give us patience to wait on You, Lord. Strengthen us to stand firm in the midst of our storm. Keep our eyes on You and keep us looking to You for our rescue. Soften our hearts and fill us with Your love. Help us cling to Your promises and not question Your plan for us. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM working in your life and all the lives of My people. Hold fast to my Word for it will come to pass.
Response: Strengthen us, Lord, to stay strong while we wait on You and Your perfect plan.
