Daily Word:
Mark 1:40-41
“And a leper came to Him, begging Him on his knees and saying to Him, If You are willing, you are able to make me clean.”
“And being moved with pity and sympathy, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I am willing; be made clean!
I love studying Jesus.
I have come to learn many things about Him as I read His Word.
He was a man of action.
He was deliberate.
He was fearless.
He was strong.
He was wise.
He was merciful.
He was gracious.
He was kind.
He is still all of those things today.
In our verses today, the man who was a leper begged Jesus to heal him.
He believed Jesus could heal him.
And the Bible tells us, “And being moved with pity and sympathy, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I am willing; be made clean!”
Jesus was moved.
He had sympathy for the man.
So, He reached out and touched him and said, “be made clean!”.
With an exclamation point!
There was no question and no hesitation.
Only a command.
He was and is a man of action.
He will reach down, touch us, and heal us.
Today I am inspired by Jesus, the man He was, and the Lord that He is today, and know that He will help me with all that I need.
May you find that as you ask Him to meet your needs and heal your wounds, that He will, indeed, come to your aid.
Daily Prayer
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for continually showing me and teaching me more about You and Your Son. Thank You for sending Your Son that I can learn more about You. Thank You for His sacrifice so that I can be deeply connected to You, Father. Help me never take that for granted. Help me know that even though You are God Almighty and Creator of the universe, that You also desire a relationship with me. You desire my worship and love. I am little more than a wisp, a vapor, and yet You desire to be part of every piece of my life. Thank You, Father, for choosing me to know You. Thank You for lifting me up and drawing me close to You. Undeserving of Your love, You offer it completely. Help me fully receive Your love, Lord. Even though I feel unworthy, help me to accept Your love in full. Help me love as You love. Keep my eyes on You today, Father. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: My mercy is yours, My child, and you will always be covered.
Response: Thank You, most gracious and loving Father.
