Matthew 15:32
“Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, I have pity and sympathy and am deeply moved for the crowd, because they have been with Me now three days and they have nothing [at all left] to eat; and I am not willing to send them away hungry, lest they faint or become exhausted on the way.”
This life is difficult.
The trials keep coming.
The uncomfortableness continues.
However, Jesus is compassionate for His people.
He ministers to all who call upon His name.
In our passage today, He had been healing the sick and ministering to the people for three days.
And at the end He was concerned for their basic need.
He said He wasn’t “willing to send them away hungry.”
He was afraid they would become sick and exhausted on their way home.
And then the miracle came.
He fed four thousand people with seven loaves of bread and a few fish.
I am encouraged by our Word today.
Jesus was compassionate.
He could have sent them away hungry.
But He didn’t.
Just as He cared for the physical well-being of the people back then, He cares for our needs today.
He sees our need.
Then He is deeply moved by it.
And He fulfills our need.
We are not unnoticed by the Great I AM.
We are His priority.
He called His disciples to Him when He saw the need of the people.
I imagine Him calling upon the disciples, heavenly troops, and angels to come to our aid.
To assist us in our every need.
He will never leave us destitute.
His help is on the way.
Today I am lifted up by the Great I AM, and I am so thankful to be able to reach up to a compassionate and merciful God.
May you find the Lord is compassionate toward you and every circumstances you face.
Daily Word:
O Lord, my God, thank You for showing me Your compassionate nature. Thank You for showing me You come to my aid when I need You. You are the great Provider. You never leave me destitute of Your help. You, most gracious and compassionate Father, are all I need. Help me look to You in days of trouble for my help is in You. Help me remember all the times You have rescued me, so I can believe for what I need today. Increase my faith in You, Lord. Do not let me focus on the difficulties but help me focus on You and Your glory. You will not let me slip and fall for You hold me up with Your strength and power. Thank You for setting me high upon a rock above the storm of this life. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM Your God and Your Help My child, and I will always give you what you need.
