Daily Word:
John 17:15 and 17
“I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.”
“Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by Truth; Your Word is Truth.”
Before Jesus was crucified, He prayed a very long prayer for the disciples and all believers after them.
The entire chapter seventeen in the Book of John is Jesus’ prayer.
In verse fifteen Jesus prayed that the Lord would protect us from the enemy.
I am so thankful that we have an intercessor.
Jesus, the Son of God, intercedes for us – prays for us.
He prays protection over us.
He prays that the Lord will sanctify us.
He prays that the Lord will make us holy.
He prays that the Lord will keep us His through His Word.
I haven’t always been so faithful about reading the Bible.
I regret the days I wasn’t.
I was more easily persuaded and didn’t have the wisdom I do today as I diligently seek Him through His Word.
Thankfully, the Lord called me closer to Him and I heeded His call.
I find the Bible to be full of Life, Light, Wisdom, and Love.
There is also Truth in the Word.
I am so thankful that I have access to a Bible and can freely read it and worship the Lord.
There are so many that do not have this freedom.
Today I am thankful for the power that Jesus initiates on my behalf as He intercedes for me with the Father.
May you find that Jesus is praying fervently for you to be set aside as one of God’s chosen believers.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your Son Who not only gave His life for me, but He continues to pray for me. Thank You for His heart that holds all Your people in His prayers to You. May You, indeed, sanctify me – make me holy. Keep me in Your Word, Lord, so that I can learn more Truth. Keep me seeking You. Help me be strong enough to walk in Truth as calamity and chaos continue to swirl around me. May Your whispers flood my soul. May Your Holy Spirit fill me so that I can be more like You – love like You - love and bless others as You bless me. Keep my heart soft toward You, Lord. Keep me at Your feet. Keep me Yours forever. May I rest in Your presence for a few precious moments today. May I rejoice in You, Lord. You are greatly to be praised! Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: You are Mine forever, My child.
Response: Undeservedly Yours, Lord, thank You.
