Crave Him and His Strength

Psalm 105:4
Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore.
Such wise words written by the psalmist.
As I move into one of the last stages of my life, these words speak wisdom into my heart.
I have always loved the Lord but didn’t always seek Him, first.
I didn’t always check in with Him about my plans.
I ran after dream after dream but didn’t ask God if they were the right dreams.
Now I understand the power of seeking God, first.
I understand the greatness of surrendering to Him.
Some personalities are more easily apt to surrender than others.
Mine is not.
Some see surrender as defeat.
Some see surrender as weakness.
But true surrender to the Lord takes strength, determination, and intention.
True surrender to the Lord opens the door to greatness.
His greatness.
Only the Lord is great, indeed!
His plans succeeds whereas my plans, without Him, fail.
Our Scripture says, “Seek, inquire of and for the Lord.”
“Crave Him.”
“Crave His strength.”
The last part of the passage tells us to, “seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore.”
When we are desperate for the Lord, we are desperate for nothing else.
He fills in all the blank spaces of our lives.
As we fully surrender to Him and His will, we are complete.
We lack nothing in His presence.
Today I choose to seek God’s face, His presence, and His strength so I am divinely held and guided by Him.
May you find that as you crave the Lord and seek Him, He is present and leads you into His glory.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for the Wisdom in Your Word. Thank You that we can come to You at any moment of the day, and You are waiting to teach us and show us more of You. May You continue to show us Your ways. Help us lean not on our own understanding but seek to understand You. Help us surrender our hearts and will to You. Mold us into Your servants. May we sit in Your presence and be held by You, Lord. May Your Spirit fill ours so that we are filled with love instead of indifference. May You hold each of us in Your mighty, yet tender, arms as we seek You. May we seek You fervently, Lord. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM with all who call upon My Name. You are Mine, sayeth the Lord.
Response: Thank You, Almighty and merciful God. Amen
