Father, Mold Me

Isaiah 64:8
Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand.
I don’t know about you, but I have a will that wants its way.
I also know the Lord, Himself, put a strong will in me.
However, I need to let go of my will and let God do what He desires to do in my life.
I need to give the reigns to Him.
This scripture reminds me to be more intentional about surrendering more quickly.
My prayer is that God will mold and shape me as He works on me.
I also pray He will help me be more willing to allow Him to change me.
It is one thing to desire the Lord change us.
However, it is another thing to allow Him to be the Potter.
Clay is dense and difficult to work with at first.
We have to really work it in our hands so that it becomes warm and more easily pliable.
The more we work with it the easier it becomes.
If we let it set for any length of time, we have to warm it up again in order for it to be pliable.
This is much the same way it works with God.
When we are close to Him, it is easier for Him to change our heart and then our actions.
But when we move away from Him our hearts become cold and it is difficult, or nearly impossible, for Him to effect change in us.
So, today I choose to lean into the Lord and allow Him to mold me and shape me into a better version of me.
May you find that as you allow the Lord to work with you that He is able to shape and mold you into your best you.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for drawing us close to You. Thank You for choosing us to be Yours. Thank You for continuing to work on us so that we can grow into the people You desire us to be. Help us give up our will, continually, and seek Your will instead. Help us allow You to mold and shape us, Father. May we be easy for You to mold and shape as we allow You to work on us. Make us Yours, Lord. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and lead and guide us in all we do today. May Your grace be upon us as we strive to be more like You. Thank You, Father, for more than sufficient grace today which You renew every day. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM continuing to work in you and will continue to mold and shape you, My child.
Response: Help us move closer to You and fully surrender to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
