Be Confident in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”
“In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”
These two verses quiet my mind today.
I am thankful we can lean on God.
Thankful we can trust Him.
And thankful we can be confident in Him.
Especially in the last two years.
Especially in the last two weeks.
Solomon knew we would need to lean on God and not ourselves.
God’s ways are not our ways.
We simply do not know the end of the story to our current day tribulations.
We don’t know the end of the pandemic story.
And we don’t know the end of the story that began with Russia invading Ukraine.
If we rely on our own insight and understanding, it is easy to become anxious. I
t is easy to let worry take over our minds and souls. I
t is easy to lose our peace and become distressed about the world and all its troubles.
After all, what does this mean for us and our families?
What will our future hold?
What are we supposed to do?
Our second verse answers these questions, “He will direct and make straight and plain our paths.”
As we lean into God, trust in Him, and acknowledge Him in all we do, He will show us the way.
He will lead our next steps.
For now, we can pray.
Pray for those who are desperate.
Pray for the world, our nation, our neighborhoods, our friends, our family, and ourselves.
We can look to the Lord, lean on Him, and keep our eyes fixed on Him as he leads and directs our path.
Today I choose to pray to God Almighty and ask Him to care for this world as only He can and lead and guide me in service to Him.
May you find God is watching over you and will lead and guide you in all that you do.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for allowing me to lean on You. Thank You for Your never-ending patience and faithfulness. I can completely trust in You no matter how difficult things seem because I know You are working in every circumstance. You bring peace to the chaos. You bring Your divine order to the world. You have a plan, Lord, and I pray for patience to wait on You. Help me not become distressed or discouraged as I see trouble rising. I pray You impart courage, strength, and power to all those who need it. May Your will be done. And may we follow You into victory. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM the Great I AM, and I AM working out all things for your good and my glory.
Response: Glory be to You, most powerful God on High!
