Conformed to the Divine

Titus 3:5-7
He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing of the new birth and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Which He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
And He did it in order] that we might be justified by His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be acknowledged and counted as conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action], and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to [our] hope.
The entire message of God’s love is in these three verses.
The Lord had mercy on us.
He desired that His Holy Spirit live inside us to lead and guide us.
The only way to accomplish it was to send His Son to die for us.
I am so thankful Jesus willingly stepped out of heaven’s door to live in this world.
He did not have an easy life as a carpenter’s son.
He had to learn to work and earn a living just as we learn our trades and professions.
He worked day to day in the heat and cold without modern conveniences.
There were no paved roads, so it must have been dusty as the wind blew.
There were days that would have been uncomfortable for Him not unlike days we experience here.
We know His true mission was to sacrifice His life for us.
But He lived a life of labor and work before that time.
He was still willing to come.
In all His love, He came.
He came to make sure we were counted as divine.
We have no ability or power to make this so on our own.
But He did.
He came so the Holy Spirit could conform our hearts and minds.
So that we would be “conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action.”
Today I am thankful Jesus willingly came to this earth so I could be made righteous through His blood and be made new by the gift of His Holy Spirit.
May you receive His gift of holiness and righteousness through the Holy Spirit made possible by Jesus’ sacrifice.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for the gifts Your Son came to this earth to give. Thank You for pouring out Your gifts through the Holy Spirit. Thank You for conforming us to the divine as Your Spirit resides in our spirit. May our hearts, thoughts, and actions be aligned with Yours, Lord. Thank You for providing a way for it to be so. Help us revere and worship You and Your Son today. Increase our faith in You as we watch You work in our lives. Don’t let us miss You, Lord. Keep our eyes on You instead of the chaos that surrounds us. Keep us seeking You today. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I sent My Son so that My Spirit would be with you, always.
