Daily Word:
Hebrews 6:19
“[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it – a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil.”
We all need hope.
When our circumstances look bleak, hope can bring us through.
Hope is something our inner soul needs in order to keep going instead of giving up in defeat.
No matter how bad things look, hope keeps us going.
Our verse says that hope is an anchor for our soul.
As an anchor it will not let us be moveable.
It keeps us grounded.
Hope permeates doubt.
Hope keeps us believing in the Lord and His good plan for our life.
Ultimately, Hope is Jesus.
We hope in Christ.
We are not bound to this earth.
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice our spirits are united with Him and the Father.
His sacrifice permeated the veil which was torn upon His death.
Our hope, now, is in Christ.
No matter what is going on around me or to me, my hope in the Lord helps me stand strong.
Today I choose to praise God for the hope that He has given me through the sacrifice of His Son and His continual presence in my life.
May you find that the Lord is close to you and will never let you down resulting in continued hope in Christ.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for reminding me that my hope is in You. Thank You for sending Your Son to live and die so that I can come to You, Father. Thank You for always being available for me to come and sit in Your presence. Thank You for Your Son’s continual intercession for me as He prays for me, Lord. Increase my faith and renew my hope in You as the cares of this world seem to mount up against me. May You strengthen my spirit and mind as I hope in You, Lord. Thank You for placing me here in this time and place so that I am free to sit in Your presence. Thank You for Your Word and the freedom to read Your Word, Father. As You continue to meet all of my needs, my hope is restored and strengthened. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM with you continually, My child, and will strengthen your spirit, soul, and mind.
Response: Thank You, most gracious God and Father.
