Renew Our Heart, Lord

Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind, so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
Paul’s advice two thousand years ago is very relevant to us today.
Even back then, Paul said to not follow and become adapted to the current customs of the day.
He warned about conforming to the world.
His advice encourages us to be transformed and renew our minds in Christ.
Seek God for His perfect will for our lives.
His perfect will for our lives is separate and different from one another.
Confusion can set in because there are so many worthy things to do in this lifetime.
There are worthy vocations and worthy areas to offer our service.
Then there are interruptions to life that seem to take time away from God’s call on our lives.
Bumps in the road, unforeseen turns in road, and roadblocks that keep us from moving forward.
However, the Lord tells us to seek Him and His perfect will.
Seek is a verb.
It’s an action word.
We are to actively seek the Lord and His perfect will.
There is nothing wasted in His kingdom.
He teaches and trains us all along the twists and turns of our lives.
He readies us to serve Him in the way He desires us to serve.
And He molds our hearts along the way.
Today I choose to seek the Lord and allow Him to transform and renew my mind so that His perfect will is done in my life.
May you find as You seek the Lord, He will transform and renew your mind and show you His perfect will for your life.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for transforming our heart, soul, and mind. We are unable to do what You can do, Father. We are unable to change ourselves. But You are fully able to correct what needs to be corrected. You strengthen us where we are weak. You bend our will to Yours and soften our hard heart. You put compassion in our soul. Increase our faith, Lord, so we don’t waver in our belief in the miraculous. You are able, Lord. Thank You, Father, for doing all You do to transform us into the people You desire us to be. Enfold us in Your love as You change us, Lord. Help us bless others as You do a work in us. Thank you for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM working in you, and My perfect will is always done.
Response: May we give our everything to You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
