Daily Word:
Psalm 17:15
“As for me, I will continue beholding Your face in righteousness (rightness, justice, and right standing with You); I shall be fully satisfied, when I awake [to find myself] beholding Your form [and having sweet communion with You].”
Kind David wrote often about enjoying being in God’s presence.
Here He enjoys, “sweet communion”
with God.
The Lord keeps bringing me to these verses where I am reminded that nothing is more satisfying and fulfilling than to be in His presence.
When all seems awry, He is still waiting for me to spend time with Him.
And the more time I spend in His presence the more the things of this world become dim.
I am thankful that He brings me to a place of peace.
I am thankful for a few precious moments to spend with Him every day.
I am thankful that His Son came to this earth, lived, and died to allow me access to God Almighty.
Now, more than ever, I am grateful for this access.
There have been many years that I have taken God’s opportunity to sit with Him for granted.
There have been many years that I did not take the opportunity to spend time with Him.
I never lost belief, but I did lose precious time spent with the Creator of this universe.
And, as such, I lost time being enriched and led by His Spirit.
I am thankful to be able to take the time to come to this awareness.
As the world slows down for a moment in time, we have the opportunity to reprioritize.
We have the time to reflect.
We have time to redirect.
Today I choose to spend some sweet communion time with the Lord, God Almighty.
May you find that as you spend time with the Lord, that you are filled to the brim with His love.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the wisdom in Your Word. Thank You for the people You use to bring new revelation to my spirit. Thank You for King David. My spirit is uplifted, once again, as I read His songs to You. Thank You for being as available to me as You were to David, a great king, warrior, and servant of Yours. Thank You for waiting upon me until I come to You and give you my heart. Thank You for gently showing me Your love and changing the direction of my desires toward You. Thank You for the peace You cover me in. Thank You for Your perfect will. Help me continue to seek after You, Lord. Keep me at Your feet. Keep me longing to know more of You and Your ways. Show me more, Father, and grant me wisdom. Help my heart and mind be led by Your truth. Lead and guide my every step. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I take pleasure in spending time with you, My child, and will continue to lead you closer to Me.
Response: Undeserving of Your love and attention, thank You, most gracious God and Father.
