Daily Word:
James 1:6
“Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.”
I have become wildly aware of doubt in the last ten years.
Doubt permeates every part of our mind and soul if we allow it to do so.
Jesus didn’t preach on doubt.
He didn’t doubt God’s goodness for one moment here on earth.
He didn’t doubt God’s faithfulness to Him.
He taught belief.
He taught faith.
In the past I wasn’t always clear about my intentions.
I let the wind blow me this direction and that direction.
I let life happen to me more than determining to follow God and what He wanted for my life.
And that hurt me and hurt others.
He started showing me more about faith and intention.
He taught me the power of thought and power of the spoken word.
He taught me how to pray.
He taught me how to be aligned with Him.
And in doing so, He answers my prayer.
The verse today cements these teachings and strengthens my heart, soul, and mind even more.
Today I choose to go before the throne with unwavering requests to God Almighty.
May you find that God is waiting for your requests and will act mightily on your behalf.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for continuing to show me Your ways. Thank You for Your Word that teaches me, reminds me, and strengthens me. As I read Your Word, I am reminded about how I should come to You and ask for the desires of my heart. Please help me be aligned with Your will for my life. Help me walk into Your will and leave my will behind. Continue to strengthen my heart, soul, and mind, Lord. Continue to increase my faith. Most of all I pray that You will continue to show me more of You. I desire to know You more fully. I desire to learn more of Your ways. Pour Your wisdom into me so that I can be more like You. Keep me from temptation, Lord. Forgive my shortcomings, mistakes, and failures. How I long to worship at Your feet and leave the imperfections of this world and me behind. May I sit in Your presence for a few moments, Father. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me bless someone today, Lord. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM with you, My child, and will continue to show you more of Me and more of My ways because you ask.
Response: Undeserving of more of You, thank You for Your grace and mercy, Almighty Father.
