Ephesians 6:10
“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].”
I need God’s strength today.
I need to be strengthened in every way.
My body is tired.
My heart hurts.
My soul is disturbed.
Our passage tells me where to find strength.
It isn’t in the world.
It isn’t in my circumstances.
It isn’t in trying to find comfort.
It isn’t in people.
It is in the Lord.
The God of the universe is Strength.
Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present and well-proved help in trouble.”
Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].”
This is where strength is.
I find strength in the Word.
I find truth in the Word.
I find God’s promises in the Word.
I must stand on those promises.
Believe in those promises.
And expect the Lord to deliver on His promises.
Then wait.
Wait on the Lord.
Because His timing is perfect.
His will for me is perfect.
His plan is perfect.
Today I choose to stand on the promises of God’s Word as He tends to my spirit and strengthens me through reading His Word.
May you find strength in the Lord as you spend time with Him in His Word.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the freedom to read Your Word and worship You every day. Thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to us and for giving up His life for us so we can have relationship with You. Thank You, Lord, for choosing me to know You and love You. Thank You for speaking to me through Your Word. As I read about You, my heart is filled with awe and reverence for You. You are the Creator of this universe and all that is in it. As much as I lack understanding of this world, I know You understand it. And You have a plan. You always have a plan. I pray You will use me to help carry out Your plan. Even if I do not see the entirety of it, I pray You can use me. Help me hear Your gentle whispers and be obedient to Your call. May I follow You in every way, Lord. Strengthen me today in all ways, Lord. Fill me with Your Spirit. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM working out all things for My glory and you are a part of My plan, My child.
Response: Prepare me to serve You, Lord so I may be fully used by You.
