Daily Word:
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
I love this definition of faith.
Faith is assurance.
When things get difficult in our lives we desire assurance.
We want to be assured that everything will turn out okay.
We look to our family and closest friends.
We seek their words of affirmation to comfort us in troubling times.
The Amplified Bible further defines the word assurance to be, “(the confirmation, the title deed)”.
Since faith is basically a thought, a feeling, and a belief that future events will happen, we desire confirmation.
We seek confirmation from God, family, and close friends.
It is interesting to me that the other words that describe this assurance are title deed.
According to www.businessdictionary.com, a title deed is a legal document executed that evidences the right of ownership to a property.
If I think about faith as being a right of ownership, I start to understand that faith is a gift that is being conveyed to me.
It gifts me ownership of future events that have been promised to me by God.
Of all guarantors, God is the most reliable.
His word and His will are always done.
If God has placed something on our hearts, He will make it come to pass.
He guarantees it.
Today I choose to believe for and continue to have faith about all that God has promised me.
May you find that God is already making His will in your life come to pass and that your faith is strengthened to fully believe His promises.
Blessings be to you!
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your perfect plan. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to strengthen my belief in Your plan and will for my life. I pray for even more faith, Lord. Increase my faith so that I do not waver in moving toward Your plan no matter how fearful I become. Keep me in Your continued care, Father. Strengthen me in every way so that I do not cower in what looks like the face of defeat but continue to believe in the miraculous. You, Lord, are the God of miracles. How I love to watch You work. Quiet the chaos around me and settle Your peace upon me. May I walk through this day with Your favor, Lord. Help me hear Your whispers and obey Your commands. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM still the Great I AM and My will is done, always.
