Romans 10:20
“Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, I have been found by those who did not seek Me; I have shown (revealed) Myself to those who did not [consciously] ask for Me.”
I am very thankful that the Lord has revealed Himself to me.
I am grateful that He chose me to know Him.
Paul shares so much truth about salvation and righteousness through Christ in the book of Romans.
Our verse today instills gratefulness in my heart that the Lord is available to me.
He could have hidden Himself from all people except for His chosen people, the Israelites.
He could have kept Himself from me and from you.
But He didn’t.
He desired relationship with us.
He desired communion with us.
So, He sent His Son to make a way to bring us close to Him.
He didn’t send His Son for just a select few.
He sent Him for everyone.
How fortunate are we that we have the opportunity to be held by the Almighty God?
How fortunate are we that we can all sit in His presence and be filled with the Holy Spirit?
How fortunate are we that we can read the Word and learn from God’s Son and His apostles?
We have the awesome benefit of learning from all the past great believers and followers of God.
I am thankful that I can read about Abraham and Moses and David.
There is insight after insight about how to have faith and be faithful to our Lord.
God could have kept Himself distant and separate from us.
He could have been a mystery to us.
He chose us to know Him instead.
He chose mercy.
He chose grace.
He chose forgiveness.
He chose love.
Today I choose to be thankful that the Lord showed Himself faithful to me when He sent His Son to die for me and all people.
May you find that the Lord is gracious to you as He provided a way for you to know Him.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for making a way for me to know You. Thank You for choosing me to know You. You could have left me outside of Your circle, but You didn’t. You included me in Your plan. You grafted me into Your fold. You called me to You. Thank You, Father, for lifting me up out of the muck of this world and bringing me close to You. Thank You for softening my heart and loving me when I didn’t deserve it. You showed me the way to You and carried me when I was weak. Thank You, Father, for creating me to be Yours. Keep me Yours. When all seems lost and life is hard, keep me seeking You. You, only, are my strength. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: My plan will always include you, My child.
Response: Thank You, most gracious and loving Father.
