Daily Word:
John 9:3
“Jesus answered, It was not that this man or his parents sinned, but he was born blind in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him.”
God’s ways are not our ways.
His mysteries abound.
As soon as I think I know what He is up to, God is up to something else.
He is miraculous.
And His plans are too big and too fantastic for me to know.
As our passage today shows us, we, as people, think we know why something bad has happened to someone.
I find myself getting judgmental at times.
And then find that I am wrong just as the disciples were in our story today.
Jesus was clear that the man nor his parents sinned.
He was not blind because he was being punished.
His circumstance was the way it was so that God could show Himself wonderful and miraculous.
This gives me pause to look at my circumstances.
I am encouraged that the Lord desires to show Himself wonderful and miraculous.
He will do so inside of my circumstances just as He did for the blind man.
I pray for patience so that I can withstand the times as I await His miracle.
Today I am thankful that God is a God of miracles and I believe that He is working out every circumstance of my life.
May you find that God is working out His plan for you and will care for you in every way.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for showing Yourself miraculous. Thank You for showing me that You are up to miracles in peoples’ lives as well as my own. I pray for patience, Lord, while You are working out every circumstance perfectly for me. Help me wait on You, Father. Increase my faith so that I am depending solely on You to solve the complications in my life. Help me hear Your whispers and give me a willing spirit so that I carry out Your desires for me. Lead and guide me throughout this day. I only want to follow You. Quiet the chaos around me and grant me Your peace. May Your peace settle over this great nation, Lord. Help us all give our hearts and souls to You, Father. May we come to You for a miracle of miracles. A miracle that will heal our land. Lead us to You, Lord. Soften our hearts and fill us with Your love. May Your Holy Spirit speak to each one of us and keep us calling after You, Lord. Help us each bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM the God of miracles today just as I WAS thousands of years ago, and I AM watching over you, your household, and your nation.
Response: Turn our hearts to You, Lord.
