Strength in Christ

Philippians 4:13
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
When all strength seems gone, Paul assures us there is more.
Strength in Christ.
There is no other perfect strength than the power and strength we have in Him.
He is wonder working power.
And He infuses that power into us – into our spirit.
He does this so we are prepared.
Prepared to face whatever is in front of us.
Prepared to serve in whatever way He asks us to serve.
Just as I used to prepare my children to go out in the world each day, the Lord prepares us.
When my children were little, I made them a big breakfast.
They were full and able to give to others instead of feeling hungry, empty, and in need.
I reminded them about everything they needed to bring to school.
I hugged them, told them I loved them, and gave them some last words of encouragement.
Many times, I said a prayer for them and blessed them as they went on their way.
If they had trouble during their day or forgot something, I would swoop in and save them.
They knew I would be there for them.
They knew they could count on me.
I was their stable and secure.
Just as I did those things for my children, the Lord is our Father and does similarly for us.
He prepares us to face each day.
He reminds us of His love with a gentle whisper or a remembrance of a verse in our hearts.
He sends us off into the world with a blessing.
And He saves us with a miracle or two throughout the day.
While it may not be the kind of miracle that comes with lightning and thunder, it is the miracle we need in a moment of desperation during our day.
Just as Paul writes in our verse today, in Christ, we are prepared for anything and everything.
In Christ, we are strengthened.
In Him, we have all we need despite our outward circumstances.
Today I choose to be grateful and empowered by the strength infused into my spirit by the Lord.
May you find you have all you need in strength and courage through the divine power of God.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for strengthening us today. Thank You for infusing Your strength into our spirit, so we can face anything and everything today. Empowered by You, we are able. Empowered by You, we can overcome the obstacles we face. Empowered by You, we can climb the mountain that is in front of us. Apart from You there is nothing we can do. It is only in Your strength that we are able. Thank You, Lord, for being our Strength. Thank You, Lord, for being our Power. May Your love infiltrate our soul and spill over into another’s life. Help us serve as You ask, Father. Do not let fear stop us from doing all You ask us to do. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM with you and will strengthen you to do all I ask of you.
Response: Thank You, Almighty and All-Powerful Lord. Amen
