Revelation 12:17
“So then the dragon was furious at the woman, and he went away to wage war on the remainder of her descendants - [on those] who obey God’s commandments and who have the testimony of Jesus Christ [and adhere to it and bear witness to Him].”
Chapter twelve in the book of Revelations talks about the enemy trying to overcome Mary so Jesus would not be born.
When His attempts failed, he was cast out of heaven.
And He was furious.
Our verse tells us he came to earth to wage war on those of us who believe in Jesus.
I’ve had occasion to talk with a number of people recently who are going through tremendous trials.
The enemy is at work.
We must, however, know we are covered in the blood of Jesus.
In John 10:29 Jesus said, “My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father’s hand.”
Although we face trials, hurt, and pain here on this earth, our spirits are saved by God for God.
We cannot be stolen from His care.
I needed this Word today.
Sometimes the storm rages on in our lives, but we must know where it comes from.
And we must know the Lord is our Keeper.
We cannot be plucked out of His hand.
We are safe in Him.
I am reminded of times when my children were sick, and I was right next to them caring for them in all the ways I could.
I watched them suffer but they were never alone.
I tended to them and all their needs.
And that is how the Lord cares for us during our difficult days.
He is with us, watching over us, and is caring for us in ways we do not know just as my small children didn’t really know how I was caring for them.
They simply know I did.
God is with us and will never leave us.
Today I choose to lean into the Lord Who saves me every day and has a place for me with Him forever.
May you find the Lord is watching over you, protecting you, and caring for you in every way as the storm rages on.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for reminding me the enemy fights against me. And thank You for reminding me I am covered by the blood of Your Son. I am held by You and cannot be snatched from Your hand. Help me cling to You, Lord. Help me seek You even as the storms rage. Thank You for sending Your angels to surround me, encamp about me, and keep me safe. You are my Shield, my Protector, and my Strength. You are peace, mercy, and grace. Help me lean into You as this world leans away from You. Keep me Yours, Lord. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM with you, keeping watch over you, and protecting you from harm My child.
