The Messiah, a Humble Man and Son of God

Luke 21:37-38
“Now in the daytime Jesus was teaching in [the porches and courts of] the temple, but at night He would go out and stay on the mount called Olivet.”
“And early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple [porches or courts] to listen to Him.”
I am, once again, awe-struck that our Messiah was such a humble Man.
Born in nothing more than a stable, He entered our world in the humblest of circumstances.
Grew up learning a carpenter’s trade.
Was nothing special to anyone growing up except in His mother’s eyes.
She knew Who He was, but no one else did.
Even His brothers antagonized Him until He died and was resurrected.
Jesus had no earthly riches.
And He aspired to have none.
He spent His nights on a mountain and His days in the synagogue.
People came from all over to hear Him teach.
Those same people would be the ones yelling, “crucify Him.”
Still, He loved them.
He came for them.
And He came for us.
I am reminded of Jesus’ humble life as we prepare to celebrate His birth.
His riches are in heaven where we will be one day.
I am thankful my earthly possessions don’t define me and cannot buy my way into heaven.
They are not counted as valuable in God’s eyes.
However, my spirit and your spirit are.
He made us.
He knows our hearts.
And He deems us worthy to be His through the blood of His Son.
May we take on His humble nature.
Today I choose to praise God for all He has done and for my future in heaven which is in His hands.
May you find the Lord cherishes you and is readying your place in heaven.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for sending Your Son to this earth in such a humble way. Thank You for showing Your gracious heart through Him. Thank You for this holy week that we use to prepare to celebrate His birth. May my heart turn to You during these next few days and seek You. Keep my eyes on You, Lord. When my patience runs short and overwhelm sets in, help me look to You. When I’m weary from all the work, help me lean into You. Set a guard upon my mouth and help me say only lovely words to those around me. Help me love as You do, Lord. Help me offer grace to others as You do. Help me quickly offer forgiveness. And may I fully know my worth is in You. You loved me enough to send Your Son to save me for You. Thank You, Lord. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM with you My child, and My peace is upon you and My Spirit is within you.
Response: Thank You for thinking of me enough to send Your Son to save me.
