Psalm 34:10
“The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.”
As I read the Word today, the Lord spoke.
It seems so many verses I have read lately speak volumes about God’s care for His people.
A message we all need to hear.
His Word brings comfort.
And His Word continues to share the message that His presence is required.
As these current days are wrought with tumult, stress invades in almost every arena of our lives.
I notice even one small glitch in my day can completely derail me.
Push me over the edge so that I am unable to be productive.
It seems almost impossible to live in the peace Jesus died to give me.
Our passage today assures us that the Lord provides.
Not just provides.
He will give us everything that is beneficial to us.
Our role is to seek Him.
Require His presence.
The last few weeks the Lord has spoken: “Seek Me”.
I will seek Him.
He is the only reason for my existence.
The Lord created me for His purpose.
And there is nothing I can do apart from Him.
He never turns me away.
He is never too busy for me.
He is always waiting for me to come to Him.
In fact, He calls my spirit to seek Him.
And in seeking Him, we will lack nothing.
Today I am thankful the Lord allows Himself to be present with me and gives me all good things.
May you find the Lord is calling you to Himself and will give you all beneficial things.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, my God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for calling me to seek You. Thank You for being available to me. Thank You for giving me all that I need and so many things I desire. Put Your desires in me so I seek You and Your Will, Lord. I earnestly desire Your presence in my spirit. Thank You for sending Your Son so that I may commune with You. Thank You for choosing me to know You and worship You. Keep me at Your feet, Lord. Keep me seeking You and Your presence. There is nothing I desire more than to spend time with You. Keep my heart soft to You. Help me continue to worship and praise You all the days of my life. May my heart be Yours for all eternity. Help me serve You for the rest of my days here on earth. Help me bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing my prayer.
Answer: I AM all you need, My child, and I will be present with you in all things.
Response: Thank You, most gracious and Almighty Father.
