Luke 10:22
All things have been given over into My power by My Father; and no one knows Who the Son is except the Father, or Who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son may choose to reveal and make Him known.
Today we can simply be thankful.
Thankful Jesus chose us to know Him and know His Father.
We could be wandering this earth wondering Whose we are.
But we aren’t because God chose us to be His.
We could be wondering why we are here.
But we don’t wonder that either because we know our purpose is love.
We are chosen by God to love Him and others.
Our calling is worship.
Worship the One Who created the universe and created each one of us.
For nearly a decade I asked God what my true purpose was.
Jesus said we will find what we seek, and one day after many years of seeking, the answer came.
My purpose was to worship the Lord and His Son.
A peace came over me like never before, and it has lasted for another decade.
As I was reading a book written by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale last night, he shared several revelations about peace.
Peace comes from God, peace is healing, and there is great power in peace.
One of our favorite Christmas Carols, Silent Night, ends with “sleep in heavenly peace.”
Let peace reign in our hearts as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our King.
Today I am thankful the Lord chose me to know Him, and thankful His peace covers me.
May your heart be full thankfulness the Lord chose you to know Him as well, and may His peace be upon you.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for choosing us to know You. Thank You for choosing us to draw closer to You. This world tries to swallow us up and draw us into captivity, but You have won the battle and our freedom. Thank You for sending Your Son to wage war over the enemy. And thank You, Lord, for calling us to You. Keep us Yours, Lord. Keep us seeking You for the rest of our days here on earth. Help us love You more each day and help us love others, Lord. May our hearts turn to worship and be flooded with peace as we approach Christmas day. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I chose you before you chose Me, and you will always be Mine.
Response: Undeservedly Yours, Thank You, most gracious and merciful God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
