Luke 9:29-31
And as he was praying, the appearance of His countenance became altered (different), and his raiment became dazzling white [flashing with the brilliance of lightning]. And behold, two men were conversing with Him—Moses and Elijah, Who appeared in splendor and majesty and brightness and were speaking of His exit [from life], which He was about to bring to realization at Jerusalem.
I enjoy reading about the time Jesus was transfigured on the mountain.
His appearance changed as He was praying.
He became bright as lightning!
Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus in all their splendor as well.
The power of God in heaven came to the mountain that day.
That same power is within us as well.
As theses days leading up to Christmas put a strain on our bodies and our budgets, let us be intentional about walking in the Spirit of God.
Pray more and worry less.
May the God of the universe transform our spirits as we spend time with Him and worship Him.
Today I choose to worship the Lord and allow His love and strength to permeate my spirit.
May you find as you spend time with the Lord that He will pour His Spirit into yours and give you the strength to do all that is front of you today.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for sending the Light to this world. Thank You for Your Word that tells of the story that changed the world forever. Don’t let us miss Your wonder and glory. May we be lifted into Your presence for a few precious moments and be made whole by You. Transform us into who You desire us to be, Lord. May our hearts turn to worshiping You during this holy season. Fill us with compassion and love to help others. May we bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM the God Who loves you. Spend time with Me.
Response: May we sit with You and receive Your love, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
