Ephesians 6:10
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Most of us need more strength these days.
Our bodies are tired.
Our souls are disturbed.
And our hearts hurt.
Our passage tells us exactly where to find strength.
It is in God.
It’s not in the world.
It isn’t in our abundant living.
It isn’t in the comforts we think we need.
And it isn’t in people.
It is in the Lord.
Our passage tells us we can draw our strength from God, and that His strength is boundless.
There are many verses in the Bible that show us exactly where our strength comes from.
Here are just a few.
Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present and well-proved help in trouble.”
Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].”
Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
These are God’s promises.
When we open our hearts to receive all He has for us to receive, we see His promises unfold in our lives.
We wait expectantly on the Lord and draw upon His mighty power and strength.
Today I choose to stand on God’s promises as He tends to my spirit and strengthens me through His Word.
May you find strength in the Lord and stand on His promises in His Word.
Daily Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for the promises in Your Word. We come to You in all our humanness and weakness. Our own strength fails us. But You never fail us. You never leave us destitute of help. Thank You for strengthening us and giving us all we need to withstand the advances of the enemy. Keep our eyes on You as You shield us from every storm. Keep our eyes on You as You work out all the details of our lives. Keep our eyes on You as You guard us on every side. Watch over and protect us, Lord. Help us lean into You. May we be strengthened by You and held in Your Almighty arms. Help us wait on You and hope in You, Lord. Help us bless someone this day. Thank You for hearing our prayer.
Answer: I AM working out all things for your good and My glory. Be strengthened in Me.
Response: Help us lean into You, Almighty and all-powerful God. Amen
